Enable Google Analytics integration

Modified on Thu, 7 Mar at 10:25 AM

CUX integration with Google Analytics allows you to do the following things:

  • extract the Session ID from GA and send this information to CUX;
  • extract the User ID from GA and send this information to CUX;
  • push URL of the visit recording from CUX to GA.

Thanks to this, you will create the link between quantitative (GA4) and qualitative (CUX) data. You can filter visits in CUX by Session or User ID or create data segments in Google Analytics that contain links to the specific recordings. CUX can show you the Session ID where users have encountered some problems on your site. With the Session ID, you can prepare a segment in GA4 and check more detailed information about these users or set up a remarketing campaign targeted at them. The possibilities are endless.

To enable CUX x GA4 integration, you need to do 2 things:

  1. Go to Settings and choose “Integrations”.
  2. Switch a toggle to enable a selected integration with your Google Analytics account.

To find recordings by a User or a Session ID:

  1. Go to the Visits page.
  2. Click Open filters.
  3. Scroll to find the GA section in filters.
  4. Paste or type in a Session or User ID.
  5. Press Apply and investigate your filtered recordings.

Please note that this filter will appear only if you have enabled respective integrations.
